Erica Hill Becomes New Weekend Today Anchor

Nov 1 2012, 7:08pm CDT | by

After CNN and CBS

Erica Hill, the talking head who has jumped around from more news programs than a bored prime-time channel surfer, has officially found a new home on NBC's Today show. She will become the newest co-anchor of the weekend version of the daily morning broadcast.

Hill first came to the national spotlight on CNN's Headline News channel. She managed to work that into a spot on network TV when she became the co-host of the weekend edition of CBS's Early Show.

Then, CBS decided to radically shake up The Early Show, and at that point Hill was appointed as the co-anchor of the more lucrative weekday position.

But then, just a matter of months later, CBS shaked up its morning show yet again, and Hill (along with every other member of the CBS Early Show team) was given the boot.

Keep in mind, all of this happened in less than two years. Take a look at your favorite news program and think about how long you've seen those faces. For one person to move around so quickly to so many places is pretty rare.

Now, Hill will be moving from CBS's Upper West Side location in Manhattan to Rockefeller Center, just a few blocks away, to NBC Studios.

Hill will join Lester Holt, Jenna Wolfe, and Dylan Dreyer for the broadcasts. "I couldn’t be happier to have such a strong team in place with Lester, Erica, Jenna and Dylan. We just celebrated 25 years of weekends here at TODAY, and this is the perfect ensemble to lead us towards our next milestone," said Weekend Today executive producer Dee Dee Thomas in a statement.

Chris Pratt Talks End Of 'Parks And Recreation'

Aug 1 2014 2:23pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

Chris Pratt will officially become a big time movie star with today’s release of "Guardians of The Galaxy" (my personal pick for best film of the summer). And considering that "GOTG" is coming on the heels of "The Lego Movie" and will be followed by next year’s sure-to-be-massive "Jurassic World"…well, let’s just say Pratt (who stars in all three) has a lot of things to talk about. A ...

Jimmy Fallon Honors Orlando Bloom And Justin Bieber's Fight With #DumbFight Hashtag

Aug 1 2014 2:22pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom's recent altercation is definitely the one stupid fight to rule them all. So in order to honor it properly, Jimmy Fallon started the hashtag #MyDumbFight. The Bloom/Bieber "fight" is hard to top, but with stories about everything from being smacked with white gloves to arguing about the Little Caesars slogan, these tweets just might do it. "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ...

Aug 1 2014 12:43pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

The conflict between Israel and Gaza has spurred allegations of media bias from both sides. On Thursday, Stephen Colbert broke down both sides of the media war down for viewers. On one hand, some commentators have pointed to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's appearances on American television as evidence of the media's pro-Israel bias. "Really? I do not see a pro-Israel bia ...

Chris Pratt Flashed Amy Poehler On Set, But Shhh! It's A Secret

Aug 1 2014 8:30am CDT | Source: Huffington Post

You know how you're supposed to learn a lesson after you do something wrong? Well, Chris Pratt doesn't. During Wednesday's "Late Night," the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star talked about the time he got into trouble with NBC for actually flashing Amy Poehler during a scene in "Parks and Recreation," instead of wearing nude-colored briefs. Pratt went on to explain that NBC didn't want him joking about the story ...

Jimmy Fallon Can't Keep It Together Playing 'Face Balls' With Julia Roberts

Aug 1 2014 8:20am CDT | Source: Huffington Post

Jimmy Fallon really knows how to make an impression. On Thursday, July 31, Fallon welcomed Julia Roberts to the "Tonight Show" by playing "Face Balls," a new game where competitors take turns pelting each other in the face with clear, inflatable balls. It sounds like it could get out of hand pretty quickly, but don't worry. It was super hilarious, and Roberts still makes it out a "Pretty Woman." "The Tonight Show Starri ...
