Mark Cuban Gets Guest Spot On Necessary Roughness

Sometimes money can indeed buy you fame. Billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team Mark Cuban has been slotted to appear in an episode of USA Network's Necessary Roughness.

The show, which just ran through its first season with a smattering of success, is about a sports therapist whose edgy "tough love" approach to emotional counseling draws intrigue from the entire pro sports community as well as celebrities and other famous individuals.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Cuban will appear on an episode more or less as himself, but with the fictitious premise that he is interested in buying a New York sports team.

But of course, it's a drama so Cuban's intentions may not be quite what they seem. Dun dun dun...

Cuban is becoming something of a TV darling. Millions of Americans were introduced to him for the first time through Dancing with the Stars, and he also has a semi-regular spot on the series Entourage.

In addition to that, Cuban is one of the investors on ABC's primetime show Shark Tank. He often comes across as the big man on campus on that show, with his voice and support weighing more heavily on many of the inventors and pitchmen that come on to look for advice and capital.

Cuban's appearance on Necessary Roughness will reportedly air next winter.
