When Top Gear returns to BBC in the sultry month of May this year, Matt LeBlanc will be one of the presenters on board the show’s format.
The former Friends dude with the wide smile that spread sunshine in everyone’s life will be sharing some guy tips on the motoring program. This is the first time in 39 years that a non-Brit actor will be hosting the show and it is like a fresh breath of air.
Chris Evans, who is normally the main man on the show, expressed his surprise and delight upon learning that Matt will be coming on board the enterprise.
He said that Matt was into all things having to do with cars and he knew cars inside out and upside down. Chris called Matt a fellow petrol-head and said that it was certainly thrilling to have Matt on the show.
Any additional actors who will be joining the cast of Top Gear will be announced shortly. Matt had only positive words to day regarding the whole deal. He said that as a car enthusiast and #1 fan of Top Gear, he was absolutely ecstatic about coming on the show.
Matt played the character of Joey on the costly soap series titled Friends. He recently appeared in a few BBC Two sitcom episodes. The man is a versatile and wise actor.
Chris commented on how bouncing ideas off each other regarding road trips and car mechanics will be a thrill. It will be crazy and cool in a fun way that only manly guys can understand.
The two, Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, can hardly wait to entertain the British masses regarding the state of the automobile in the 21st century.
LeBlanc has already done two cameo appearances on Top Gear and he holds the record for the fastest lap accomplished in a racing car by someone of celebrity status.
BBC’s top brass think the world of Matt. He is a class act and simply the best. After Jeremy Clarkson left the series due to his row with a Top Gear producer, Chris Evans remained on board and spearheaded the show’s format.
Now with Matt entering the equation, things will get interesting. He will wonderfully spice up the atmosphere. Piers Morgan has also welcomed Matt’s entry into the show. He has called it a brilliant choice. As for LeBlanc, he has called the whole contract a very cool thing indeed.
