California City, CA, April 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- IWA Commissioner Rodd Stowell has announced that the TVS Television Network will be featuring 'The American Gigolo' in its monthly IWA Wrestling TV series that begins in June. A national and international star, he joins Mexican wrestling superstar Discovery as headliners of the program.

American Gigolo, or as he is known internationally, Gigolo Americano, started his career in 1996 and was trained by the late Mike Shaw aka Bastion Booger/ Norman the Lunatic/Makhaan Singh. That same year he joined the UWFI /Kingdom shoot company in Japan and began training with the legendary Billy Robinson. 1996 also saw Gigolo begin his vaunted career in Mexico, training under Franco Colombo, eventually signing with Promo Azteca.

Gigolo made his North American debut with Bert Prentice's North American All Star Wrestling in Nashville, where he was Rookie of the Year as Chad Casey. He then began in Michigan for Mlcom Monroe's Insane Championship Wrestling, where he and his partner Steve Nixon as Boogie Nights dethroned Edge and Christian as tag team champions.

In 1998 he journeyed to Puerto Rico and established his status as an international wrestling star. That led to stints wwith both the WWF and the ECW developmental programs and his career was in full bloom. After appearances on WWF Raw and WCW, Gigolo was thwarted when WCW folded.

That began an 18 year career in Mexico where Gigolo became a superstar and established his long time rivalry with fellow IWA superstar Discovery.

A star in Mexico, Japan, Puerto Rico, and the USA, American Gigolo now headlines the IWA's new roster of stars.

Original IWA wrestlers in the first incarnation of the TVS wrestling program included Rip Hawk, Dino Bravo and Gino Brito, Hacksaw Reynolds, Ivan Koloff, Ox Baker, The Mongols, Tex McKenzie, and the IWA Heavyweight Champion Mil Mascaras.

IWA Wrestling will be seen on national cable, regional sports cable networks, broadcast stations, and TVS IPTV 'Micro Channels'. The TVS Television Network has been syndicating television programs since 1961.
