"Breaking Bad," "12 Years a Slave" Lead SAG Awards Nominees

iStock/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) -- The nominees for the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best performances in film and TV in the past year, were announced Wednesday morning.

12 Years a Slave leads the film nominees, with four nods.  For television, AMC's Breaking Bad, which wrapped up its run earlier this year, scored the most nominations, also with four, followed by ABC's Modern Family30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Homeland and The Big Bang Theory, all ofwhich each earned three nominations.

The Weinstein Company was the studio to receive the most nominations for its films, with at seven nods, with Fox Searchlight Pictures right behind them at five nods. On the TV side, HBO led all networks with 13 nominations, with AMC and Showtime trailing at five.

Rita Moreno is set to receive the highest award from the Screen Actors Guild, the 50th SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.

Rizzoli & Isles star Sasha Alexander and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg announced the nominees at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.  The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will simulcast on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.
