"The View" Taking Over Disneyland this Week

Nov 20 2013, 6:56am CST | by ABC News Radio

ABC/Rick Rowell(ANAHEIM, Calif.) -- All this week, ABC's The View is broadcasting from "The Happiest Place on Earth," Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.

Barbara Walters has been having fun during her first visit to Disneyland -- more fun that she's had at some of the places where her distinguished journalism career has taken her.

She tells ABC News Radio, "I have been to Tibet, and now I have been here to Disneyland.  It does make you happy to go on the rides and to eat all of that impossible food, I've just had a wonderful time.  It isn't exactly Tibet."

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg has an emotional attachment to Disneyland./>/>/>/>/>/>

She explains, "It was a place when I was a little kid my mom always wanted to take us to.  And she always said 'I'm going to take you kids.'  And it turned out that I took her.  And that kind of blew her away, and sort of got very emotional, and then when she passed she wanted us to bring her here, for her memorial, and that's what we did."

Sherri Shepherd says staging the show at an amusement park is not without its challenges.  She recalls she had an issue with the teleprompter on Monday because it was behind Goldberg's hair./>/>

She laughs, "Whoopi says 'Sherri, do you want to tell us about Small World?' and I was like, 'I do?'"

The View/>
will welcome Tim Allen and guest co-host Demi Lovato at Disneyland on Wednesday./>

Oct 1 2014 12:20pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

Cartoons today aren't like they used to be, and maybe that's a good thing. BBC reports that Amazon Prime is accompanying "Tom and Jerry" with a cautionary statement about depictions of racism. In a screenshot above, "Tom and Jerry: The Complete Second Volume" is given the following warning: "Tom & Jerry" shorts may depict some ethnic and racial prejudices that were once commonplace in American society. Such depictions ...

Billy Crystal And Jimmy Fallon Team Up For Another Hilarious Lip Flip

Sep 19 2014 1:16pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

To promote his book, "Still Foolin' 'Em," Billy Crystal got together with Jimmy Fallon for another hilarious lip flip. Crystal was actually the original celeb Fallon swapped lips with when he was on "Late Night." Since that time, the host has done the sketch with celebs like Whoopi Goldberg and Tina Fey, but it's definitely hard to beat the original (especially when it involves an attempt to joke about Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber ...

Rosie O'Donnell Makes Provocative Ray Rice Comments As 'The View' Returns

Sep 15 2014 12:14pm CDT | Source: Huffington Post

"The View" looked very different as it returned for a new season on Monday, but some things don't change, like Rosie O'Donnell making controversial comments about the news. The ABC show had to do a lot of different things when it came back. It had to introduce a new set and three new co-hosts (O'Donnell, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace), get them to discuss some Hot Topics, test out the chemistry, ...
