8 pm Saturday Night Live: SNL Halloween (NBC) | A special spooky clip show made up of the sketch series’ best Halloweeny bits.

8 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | Elena and Damon, dressed as Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, attend the Whitmore Historical Ball. Stelena ‘shippers, take solace in the fact that things did not go well for Annie B and Hank Ocho.

8:30 pm The Millers (CBS) | Nathan, Debbie and Adam take Mikayla trick-or-treating to the house of an old woman everybody thinks is witch.

9 pm The Returned (Sundance Channel) | Series premiere: Call it Les morts marchants — this French import follows a group of people who suddenly return to life in an idyllic mountain town. As the returned struggle to reintegrate, they realize that a serial killer may be among those revived.

9:30 pm Anger Management (FX) | Charlie gets a new group therapy patient who believes he’s the devil.
