Tia Mowry-Hardrict Says She's Competing with Twin to Expand Family

Oct 29 2013, 7:10am CDT | by ABC News Radio

Brad Barket/Getty Images for Nickelodeon(LOS ANGELES) -- Sisters are undoubtedly competitive with each other, but for twins Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley, the pressure to best one another even extends into expanding their growing families -- or so it seems.

“There’s always this inner competition with my sister and I: who’s going to have the second child first,” Tia tells People magazine. “It would be interesting if we end up getting pregnant together -- that would be crazy cool in a way.”

Tia welcomed her first son, Cree Taylor, with husband actor Cory Hardrict in June 2011.  While her sister, Tamera, who is married to Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, had her first son, Aden John Tanner, in November 2012.

“I do want another child -- and sooner rather than later -- but just not now,” Tia clarifies.

The Instant Mom star admits she's putting baby number two on hold for now.

"I personally want to give all of my attention to my son right now,” she explains.  “I don’t know how I can balance two kids right now, but who knows.”

Balance is key for Tia, who often brings her son on set with her as she's shooting her new Nick at Nite sitcom.

“He’s been in the makeup room plenty of times.  It’s so cute to see him play around with the hair brushes and the makeup brushes -- he knows where to put it!  It’s adorable,” she says about 2-year-old Cree.

“Who knows, I think he may end up being an actor one day.  He just has so much personality, he’s full of energy...we’ll see.  I enjoy him being on set with me, he rejuvenates me,” Tia adds.
