Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on Grey's, Bones, Coven, Sons, Psych, Carrie, Vampire Diaries and More

Got a scoop request? An anonymous tip you’re dying to share? Send any/all of the above to askausiello@tvline.com

Question: Got any scoop on Alex and Jo from Grey’s Anatomy? Thanks in advance. —Burkey
Ausiello: Though Alex let his estranged dad leave last week — without even letting the guy know who he was — Pop will be back. When he is, “you will get details” about the origin of their family feud, boss lady Shonda Rhimes tells me. And “since Jo never had a family and she’s always longed for one,” Rhimes adds, she won’t be able to stop herself from trying to mend that rift. “It’s hard for her to understand why Alex would not want to have a chance to know his father.” In other words, conflict.

Question: You got any Grey’s Anatomy scoop? —Sara
Ausiello: The series’ fall run “will be ending with a cliffhanger,” says Rhimes. Can she offer a tease? Who will be hanging off that cliff, for instance? “No,” she insists. “I cannot offer a tease.” Hmmph. Tease.

Question: I’m really looking forward to Warren Kole’s appearance on this week’s episode of White Collar? Any chance that it’s a recurring role and not just a one-time appearance? —Matt
Ausiello: Tim DeKay tells us that “something very dramatic happens to the new handler” so, um… you do the math. Meanwhile, despite Peter’s promotion to Fancy Boss Man, “He still gets out there [in the field],” assures DeKay of his character. “We get to see Peter pull some cons and go undercover.”

Question: Do you have any scoop on American Horror Story: Coven? —Kevin
Ausiello: In this Wednesday’s episode, Kathy Bates’ racist madame gets the fright of her 250-year-old life when she turns on the news and discovers a black man is president. (And her day from hell only goes downhill from there.) Elsewhere, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) thinks she’s doing a good thing when she reunites Kyle (Evan Peters) with his grieving mother (Mare Winningham) — but she’s not doing a good thing. Not by a long-shot.

Question: I would love some Grimm scoop. –Stacie

Ausiello: Now that Juliette is an in-the-know member of the gang, she and Capt. Renard will probably share more screen time. But don’t expect them to rehash the insanity of their Season 2 hook-up. “Sasha [Roiz] and I have chosen to play it in a certain way where there is a subtle acknowledgement when those two characters are in a scene together, but [it's] nothing blatant,” Bitsie Tulloch tells us. “They’re not really addressing it.” (Don’t worry, we’re sure the captain will find some other reason to take off his shirt in the coming episodes.)

Question: Any scoop on what’s ahead on Sons of Anarchy? —Will
Ausiello: With her trial date move up, Tara is forced to pull the trigger on her heretofore-mysterious scheme in this week’s episode. And even by SOA standards it’s messed up. We also get the backstory on the shiner Walton Goggins’ Venus was sporting last week, and it may or may not involve his  white-trash mother (played by Carnivale‘s Adrienne Barbeau).

Question: Do you have any scoop on Nikita? The wait is killing us. —Abbie

Ausiello: TVLine’s architecture critic Meg Masters recently stepped foot in Season 4′s “lair in the air” set and issued this exclusive-to-AA review: “It does not disappoint. While it’s hard to replace the old Division digs, the new headquarters, while cozy, bear all the Nikita staples — action figures, assorted trinkets and nerd caves included.” And in case you missed the big news, Nikita‘s farewell season kicks off in less than a month.

Question: Thanks for a great Bones post-mortem! Do you have any more information on upcoming plots? —Cassidy
Ausiello: Team Hathan (series creator Hart Hanson + EP Stephen Nathan = Team Hathan) shared that they’re currently “working on a half-dozen more traditional, non-event Bones episodes” to air after the honeymoon (Nov. 4) and bachelorette party (Nov. 11) installments as a way to reestablish the show’s equilibrium. “We front-loaded this season with [big episodes],” adds Hanson. “So we’ll have a run of fun, lighter-hearted romantic-crimedy Bones. And then we will start in with a couple more event-type episodes” — presumably involving The Ghost Killer.

Question: Any chance  Zooey Deschanel will attend Brennan’s bachelorette party on Bones? Margaret has to be there! —Georgia
Ausiello: She doesn’t and she won’t. And it’s because “it’s impossible to schedule her — she’s just busy all the time,” notes Nathan. “She’s in every scene of [New Girl].” Similarly, don’t expect Emily Deschanel to pop over to her sister’s neck of the woods to play Jess’ soon-to-arrive sis. “Emily works huge hours a week,” Hanson stresses. “And she has a baby to take care of too. I don’t see how she could possibly do it. It would be great [publicity] for us, but I just don’t think that there’s a human being in the world who could do it.”

Question: Revolution scoop, please! —Lizzy
Ausiello: Supernatural‘s Jim Beaver makes his Revo debut this Wednesday playing “the Secretary of the Interior of the great sovereign nation of Texas” whose “got a problem with these Patriots,” explains EP Eric Kripke. “Jim’s character is a lifeline to Miles, who is like, ‘If I can get Texas, which is a nation of gunslingers and lawmen, to join me in the fight against these guys, I actually have a chance at beating them.’ So Miles needs to convince Jim’s character to join the fight. But you know, twists and turns and hilarity ensue.”

Question: The new season of The Carrie Diaries premieres in just a few days! Care to give us scoop? —Julius
Ausiello: Samantha will put her filthy mouth where the money is when she gets hired as a phone-sex operator. Her unlikely protégé? Mouse! In other news, Maggie doesn’t exactly steer clear of Sebastian. Quite the opposite. Faster than you can scream “restraining order,” she gets a job at his country club and starts babysitting in his neighborhood.

Question: Please tell me you have scoop on Chicago Fire? —Whittney
Ausiello: I have scoop on Chicago Fire. Mills will finally *h*t or get off the pot with regard to his possible move to the Chicago PD. “We’re going to keep it as a valid ripcord that he can pull if he needs to go to PD,” says exec producer Matt Olmstead. “An event happens that really makes him make a choice in terms of, ‘Who am I? What do I want to do?’”

Question: Was Stefan from The Vampire Diaries the answer to this blind item? —Jelly
Ausiello: Oh, sure, you guess it after the episode airs. Cheater.

Question: Any scoop you have on The Vampire Diaries‘ 100th episode? —Ashley
Ausiello: Would you settle for something around 96/97? ‘Cause I hear it’s around that time that we will watch one character pull a reverse Benjamin Button.

Question: Can’t wait for the Psych: The Musical! Can you please get us a first look? —Abdul
Ausiello: I can. And I will…

Question: The preview for Sunday’s tense episode of The Good Wife has me filled with sadness. Do you have any inside scoop on Alicia and Will? Will they ever get a real shot at being together? Or should I just give up all hope now? —Sophie
Ausiello: No one ‘ships those two crazy kids harder than I do. But having already seen this Sunday’s phenomenal episode — easily the show’s best — I’m extremely comfortable making the following declaration: They’re more compelling and far sexier as enemies than lovers. There, I said it. Someone had to.

Question: I want to be your intern. It is my dream to be your intern. How can I be your intern?! —Will
Ausiello: You can click on this link, send in a resume, and cross your fingers ’til they bleed because our last intern received an all-expense-paid trip to San Diego for Comic-Con, a personal phone call from Jason Ritter and, on her last day, a very light handshake from me. Top that VegetableGardener.com.

That’s a wrap! Please send questions, comments, and anonymous tips to askausiello@tvline.com. (Additional reporting by Vlada Gelman, Megan Masters and Kim Roots)
