Topher Grace and Sarah Silverman are putting down roots in the Garden State.

The duo are set to play siblings in People In New Jersey, a half-hour comedy pilot for HBO produced by SNL overlord Lorne Michaels and directed by Bridesmaids helmer Paul Feig, TVLine has learned.

Oh, and their mother? She’ll be played by Broadway legend Patti LuPone.

PINJ is described as a hilarious, poignant look at life today as seen through the prism of an adult brother and sister living in NJ. They each struggle to get through the day, asking themselves the big questions, the little questions, and everything in between.

Grace, in his first major TV gig since his ’70s Show days, will play Carl Levin, an affable (and single) locksmith who has a definite idea of how things and people should be and when the world doesn’t conform to his vision, he resists mightily.

Silverman’s character, Melanie Levin, is an extremely driven closet optimist who works part-time at a department store. She is is involved with a man in what her mother describes as a “half-relationship.”

LuPone’s matriarch Rachel, meanwhile, has been somewhat lost since the death of her husband. She focuses a lot of her energy on worrying about her children and why neither has settled down in a relationship.

Bruce Eric Kaplan (Girls, Six Feet Under) is penning the script and will serve as an EP alongside Michaels and Feig.
