8 pm Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) | In the first half of a two-part episode, Joey tries to pass Mel off as his ex-wife at his Nona’s 99th birthday party.

9 pm The Unexplained Files (Science) | Series premiere: In 1978, a pilot and his aircraft disappeared from the skies above southern Australia. 10 pm Surviving Evil (Investigation Discovery) | Series premiere: Charisma Carpenter (Buffy, The Lying Game) – who herself survived a near-fatal attack chronicled in tonight’s episode — hosts this series about victims who fought back against their attackers and survived. 10 pm Top Chef Masters (Bravo) | The Mindy Project‘s Mindy Kaling asks chefs to create dishes inspired by her favorite romantic comedies, while Yo Gabba Gabba is on hand to help the contestants win over some picky young eaters.
