Los Angeles, CA, August 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Music legend, accomplished actor, author, producer and entrepreneur Gene Simmons joins comedian Jon Lovitz for an upcoming installment of Lovtiz’s weekly hit Vodcast series, “Lovitz or Leavitz.” The Vodcast will be taped in front of a live audience on Friday, August 23 at The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club & Vodcast Theatre, located in the Universal CityWalk entertainment complex at Universal City, California. Launched on June 29, the popular talk show series, part of the recently launched Jon Lovitz Vodcast Network, has already amassed several hundred thousand views both on Lovitz’s own website, http://thejonlovitzcomedyclub.com and the comedian’s YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/JonLovitzVodcast).
"I’ve been a fan and friend of Gene's for a long time,” said Lovitz. "He's one of those rare people whose great at music and business. I always ask him for advice and he always takes the time to help me." Simmons demonstrated his business acumen as a contestant on “Celebrity Apprentice” with Donald Trump. He is also the star and executive producer of the long running hit reality show, “Gene Simmons: Family Jewels,” a behind the scenes look at his personal life running on the A&E cable network.
In addition to the “Lovitz or Leavitz” series, The Jon Lovitz Vodcast Network features sports, politics and plenty of comedy. Including “FYI Sports Talk” with Robert Fick and Dmitri Young, “Talking Marijuana”, and radio personality Frazer Smith. Just this month they signed Gary Busey to his very own live monthly Vodcast at the club named “Being Busey”, which will air October of 2013. The Jon Lovitz Vodcast Network officially launched on June 30th with the premiere of “Lovitz or Leavitz” series featuring Lovitz’s fellow “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Dana Carvey. In addition to Carvey, Lovitz has had a diverse group of guests, including Oscar nominated actor Gary Busey (“The Buddy Holly Story”), Steve-O (MTV’s “Jackass”), entertainment reporter Sam Rubin and actress Krista Allen (“Days of Our Lives,” “Baywatch Hawaii”).
