9 pm Endeavour (PBS) | Series premiere: This Inspector Morse prequel follows the rookie Constable Morse (played by Shaun Evans) as he develops his legendary powers of deduction. Tonight, Morse and Thursday investigate burgled gas meters, the sudden death of a student and a string of post office robberies.
9 pm True Blood (HBO) | Sookie confronts her growing attention to Ben, Eric deals Burrell a brutal blow and Bill tasks Takahashi to synthesize a new kind of blood.
9 pm The Killing (AMC) | As Linden and Holder get a break in the case, Seward fights his own mortality.
