Unforgettable Cast Andrew McCarthy
Andrew McCarthy has lined up an Unforgettable new role.

The former Brat Packer — who in recent years has appeared on White Collar, Royal Pains and Lipstick Junglewill guest-star in an upcoming installment of the revived CBS drama.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, McCarthy drops by Season 2 (premiering July 28) as a wealthy real estate tycoon who turns to Poppy Montgomery’s Carrie and Dylan Walsh’s Al when his 11-year-old daughter is kidnapped.

• Didn’t like The Hills‘ series finale? Don’t fret. The cabler is gearing up to air an alternate ending of the addictive MTV staple some three years after it wrapped. The previously unaired conclusion will debut Aug. 9 at 11:30/10:30c as part of the Retro MTV Brunch programming block.

• CNN is officially bringing back Crossfire. The news network announced Wednesday plans to revive its long-running political debate program — which ended in 2005 — with Newt Gingrich, S.E. Cupp, Stephanie Cutter and Van Jones tapped to co-host. Crossfire 2.0 bows this fall.

• Nickelodeon is staging a Laverne & Shirley reunion. Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams will guest-star in an episode of the kiddie cabler’s new series Sam & Cat, The Associated Press confirms, playing a pair of feuding characters.

• TLC has unveiled the lineup of celebs participating in its upcoming revival of Who Do You Think You Are?. Those taking a trip down genealogy lane include Christina Applegate (Up All Night), American Idol‘s Kelly Clarkson, supermodel Cindy Crawford, Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately), Chris O’Donnell (NCIS: LA), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) and country crooner Trisha Yearwood.
