Starz has given the green light to Outlander, a new drama from Battlestar Galactica helmer Ron Moore. Adapted from novels by Diana Gabaldon, the 16-episode series is described as spanning “the genres of romance, science fiction, history and adventure in one grandiose tale.” Outlander follows a married combat nurse from 1945 who is swept back in time to 1743 and forced to marry another man.
