Now that Dan Harmon is returning to Community, the returning showrunner had to catch up on the fourth season of the NBC comedy that he was not involved with, which was run by David Guarascio and Moses Port — and his reaction isn't good.

"It was weird," Harmon said in the latest Harmontown podcast." I think I feel pretty comfortable in expressing that [Season 4] is not my cup of tea."

Harmon was initially fired as showrunner last spring, and turned down the position of consulting producer. Though Guarascio and Port replaced him, Harmon felt they didn't do the show justice. "It's obviously not somebody doing what they do," he said. "It's very much like an impression. And an unflattering one... They replaced us with us with two guys who didn't know what they were getting into. They went to Comic-Con, and saw what was going on... and they went, 'F---,' and then I think they tried their best."

Harmon took to Twitter Monday to address the comments in his podcast. "I feel bad if I made anyone feel bad with my comments in harmontown. It's a dirty, personal comedy podcast, not charismatic for quoting... I like making stuff that pleases people, I like being honest about my feelings but I hate hurting other people, especially Community fans."

Community finished its fourth season with 3 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic, tied with Season 3's Harmon-helmed finale. Though Community's ratings remained largely stable in Season 4, many criticized the season for losing its spark without Harmon.
