Audra McDonald Live From Lincoln Center

On TV this Friday: Private Practice alum Audra McDonald singing live is what the doctor ordered, XIII wants to be someone else, The Perfect Boss stages a Melrose Place reunion and dating whips Maron into shape. Here are nine programs to keep on your radar tonight.

8 pm The Perfect Boss (Lifetime Movie Network) | Jamie Luner (Melrose Place) plays a ruthless drug-company rep (yep) who’ll do anything to get a new med approved by the FDA – and she’s not planning to let a meddling college kid stop her. Luner’s Melrose hubby Linden Ashby (Teen Wolf) co-stars.

8 pm Audra McDonald In Concert: Go Back Home (PBS) | The season finale of Live From Lincoln Center showcases the Private Practice star singing her favorite music in a gala concert at New York’s Avery Fisher Hall.

8 pm National Geographic (NatGeo) | Tonight’s episode looks at the painstaking preparations and grueling journey involved in reaching the summit of Mount Everest.

9 pm–Midnight Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz) | If you’re behind on the Renaissance man’s recent capers, catch up with this mini-marathon of the last three episodes: “The Magician,” “The Tower” and “The Devil.”

10 pm Merlin (Syfy) | In the series’ penultimate episode, Morgana and Mordred prepare their assault on Camelot, and Merlin feels the weight of prophecy.

10 pm XIII: The Series (Reelz) | XIII’s life depends on his ability to take over Victor Gong’s identity. Carrington imposes martial law on America.

10 pm 20/20 (ABC) | Among tonight’s stories: the tale of a woman held hostage for 12 hours by her arsonist ex-husband.

10 pm Mystery Diners (Food Network) | The owners of the Big Easy’s N’awlins Café don’t know that their manager is hiring her incompetent friends… but they’re about to.

10 pm Maron (IFC) | Guest star Illeana Douglas (Six Feet Under, Shark) sets Marc up on a blind date with a nice girl. So naturally, he falls for a raunchy dominatrix (played by Maribeth MonroeWorkaholics) instead.
