Seth Meyers may have just been named the new host of Late Night, but he's already got his pick for the first guest on his couch.

"Amy Poehler," Meyers told TVGuide.com at the NBC upfront red carpet Monday. "If that can't happen then we'll have real trouble getting guests!"

Seth Meyers to replace Jimmy Fallon on Late Night

Meyers, who co-anchored "Weekend Update" with Poehler on SNL for two seasons, will replace Jimmy Fallon on Late Night when Fallon takes over The Tonight Show from Jay Leno in 2014. Meyers says he hasn't gotten advice from the veterans just yet, but says they've all reached out to say congratulations.

So what does he imagine his show will be like?

"[My favorite shows are] Game of Thrones and Mad Men so I feel like Late Night with Seth Meyers will be a combination of those two," Meyers quipped.
