Former island dwellers Mark Pellegrino and Henry Ian Cusick have signed on to new sci-fi pilots from The CW.

Pellegrino has been cast as The Tomorrow People‘s Big Bad and Cusick will play an adventurous apocalypse survivor in The Hundred, our sister site Deadline reports.

The Tomorrow People, a superhero drama pilot from Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) is adapted from the 1970s UK series and follows several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution.

Each of them posses special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together, they fight evil.

Pellegrino’s Dr. Jedikiah Price is an evolutionary biologist who sees the Tomorrow People as a grave danger to the human race.

His long list of TV credits include LostGrimm, Revolution and Person of Interest; he also recurs on Supernatural and Being Human.

Cusick’s project, The Hundred, is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization. A spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. The project is based on upcoming Alloy book series by Kass Morgan.

The former Scandal star will play Kane, an officer aboard the Ark who wants the Chancellor’s job.

Cusick currently recurs on Body of Proof and The Mentalist.
