Saturday Night Live - Season 38

On TV this weekend: Syfy’s Snowman ain’t no Frosty, Adam Levine is Live and kickin’, the Screen Actors Guild Awards celebrate TV and film’s best, a Good Wife‘s great dilemma and The Mentalist finds his nemesis’ handiwork in an old case. Here are 15 programs to keep on your radar.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 26
8 pm Victorious (Nickelodeon) | Tori thinks her biggest fear, while performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a televised game, is forgetting the lyrics. She soon learns she’s very wrong.

8:30 pm Maz Jobrani: I Come in Peace (Showtime) | The Knights of Prosperity alum performs his stand-up routine.

9 pm Abominable Snowman (Syfy) | Think winter’s rough by you? The skiers and snowboarders in this flick have to battle a man-eating Bigfoot, a blizzard and an avalanche or two — and there’s probably not even hot chocolate waiting for them at the lodge. Adrian Paul (Highlander) and Chuck Campbell (Sanctuary) star.

11:30 pm Saturday Night Live (NBC) | Voice coach/Horror Story amputee/Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine makes his hosting debut, with musical guest Kendrick Lamar.

8 pm The Simpsons (Fox) | When a near-death situation prompts Homer and Marge to name legal guardians for the kids, their prospects include Homer’s half-brother Herb (guest-voiced by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Danny DeVito) and a cool woman named Portia (Parks and Recreation‘s Rashida Jones).
