What to Watch Thursday: The Very Last Resort, Parks and Rec Gets Trashed, Glee and More

Parks and Recreation - Season 5

On TV this Thursday: The Colorado reaches its Last Resort, Parks and Recreation talks trash, The Office‘s documentarians just might be revealed and the Project Runway premiere makes the team. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

3 pm Katie (Syndicated; check local listings) | Katie Couric talks with Notre Dame football star and alleged hoax victim Manti Te’o and his parents.

8 pm Last Resort (ABC) | Series finale: When a violent battle breaks out on the Colorado, the sub is vulnerable to capture by a third party with a nefarious plan. Can Marcus and Sam wrest control of the vessel before it’s too late? (Bummed about the drama’s cancellation? Take heart: What you’re getting is a tweaked and proper series finish.)

8 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | Kol makes it clear he’ll stop at nothing to make everyone stop searching for the cure; Elena negotiates with Klaus to keep Jeremy safe, but winds up devising her own plan.

8:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | Leslie and April handle a garbage route in a move to get more women hired in government. (Just go with it.) Also, Lucy Lawless returns as Diane, who trusts Ron with her kids while their babysitter is out of town.

9 pm Glee (Fox) | The New Directions girls organize a Sadie Hawkins dance at McKinley, Sam hunts for evidence that the Warblers cheated at Sectionals and Kurt tries to find his niche at NYADA. (Get scoop and check out some preview pics!)

9 pm Project Runway (Lifetime) | Season 11 premiere: Sixteen new designers, who discover post-haste that they’ll be working in teams, create garments inspired by New York City. Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia are joined by featured judge Zac Posen and guest judge/Season 4 winner Christian Siriano, while Michael Kors takes the season off.  (An 8pm Road to the Runway special offers an in-depth introduction to the new contestants.)

9 pm The Office (NBC) | Tonight, we’ll finally get a glimpse behind the scenes of the documentary that’s been so, so long in the making! Meanwhile, Jim has to miss Cece’s first recital when an investor exits his new company. (Pam? Not pleased.)

9:30 pm 1600 Penn (NBC) | Prez Gilchrist uses his position to track down someone of major importance to the First Family. (Oh, we’ll just say it: Becca’s baby daddy.) Benson‘s Rene Auberjonois guest-stars as the White House’s persnickety Chief of Protocol.
