Before her UNICEF charity concert on Jan. 19th, Selena told reporters that her friend, Taylor Swift, has been helping her through the tough times since splitting with Justin. “Taylor is one of the most inspirational, positive, good-hearted people I know,” Selena gushed. “I think she’s been a big part of me staying who I am, too.” Taylor is currently going through a breakup of her own — recently splitting with Harry Styles of One Direction — and we all know she has experience in getting over exes.

Cry Me A River, Justin

Another thing Selena might be taking from Taylor is the way she publicly disses her exes in songs! At the UNICEF concert, Selena sang Taylor’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Cry Me a River” by Justin Timberlake.

“I’ve been through a lot in the past few months,” Selena told her fans before singing the Timberlake tune. “It’s been weird and sad and cool.” A source told Us Weekly that Selena “seemed so angry” during the performance. It’s still unclear though — is Selena suggesting that Justin cheated on her, or is she just dissing him? (Weirdly enough, Bieber sang the same song in concert a few months ago).

These mixed feelings are new for Selena. She’s been putting up a strong front in the wake of her breakup, looking confident in New York City and extremely happy on red carpets. But as time goes on, it’s clearly affecting her. Good thing she has a best girl friend like Taylor!
