Days of Our Lives Renewed Through 2014

Like sands through the hourglass... Days of Our Lives will keep airing at least through September 2014, NBC announced Wednesday.

"We are thrilled to announce that Days of Our Lives is not going anywhere. It is NBC's longest-running drama series by far and is one of the most historic brands in television," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement.

This week marked Days' 12,000th episode. In November, the show will celebrate its 48th anniversary.
