Will Britney Spears follow L.A. Reid out the door on The X Factor?

Us Weekly reports that the 31-year-old singer is about to get the boot after just one season on the Fox singing competition. A representative from the show could not immediately be reached for comment.

Who should replace L.A. Reid? The X Factor team weighs in

According to the report, the show's producers feel Britney didn't meet the expectations that came along with her $15 million contract. (Uh, have they completely forgotten about her priceless facial expressions?!)

Creator, executive producer and judge Simon Cowell isn't afraid of handing out pink sleeps. Last season, he fired judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as host Steve Jones. What were the best TV shows of 2012?

Reid announced the week before the Dec. 20 finale that he would be leaving the show after two seasons to focus on his day job as CEO and Chairman of Epic Records. "I had a great time doing X Factor," Reid told reporters last week after the finale. "I only did it so I could have a little vacation and a little fun and now I got to get back to work." Do you think Fox should show Spears the door? Or would you miss her facial expressions next season?
