Spoiler alert: Stop reading if you haven't watch the 'Gossip Girl' series finale!
"Who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell." Those now-iconic words have opened every episode of The CW's Gossip Girl since it first premiered on Sept. 19, 2007. And while the omnipotent Upper East Side blogger kept that promise not to come out from behind the computer, "her" identity was revealed on the show's Dec. 17 series finale nearly six years later.
Who Is Gossip Girl?
Ready? Here it comes! Don't say I didn't warn you... Gossip Girl is Dan (Penn Badgley)! Though the final episode featured several must-see moments — "Chair" fans went nuts when the first pictures leaked of Chuck and Blair (Ed Westwickand Leighton Meester) getting married in Central Park — the unveiling of the series' titular villain was definitely its biggestmoment. Without even a hint of exaggeration, Gossip Girl's identity was literally the most anticipated reveal in teen-TV history. (Sorry, "A.")
